These two clips are taken from a video of a Pacific white-sided dolphin
harassing several transient Killer Whale cows and calves. White-sided
dolphins have been observed a number of times acting in a highly
aggressive manner toward other larger whales. In this case, the dolphin is
harassing the calves, and the females are trying to kill it or drive it
off. The males are noticeable by their absence. Though the dolphin is
faster and more maneuverable than the female Killer Whales, the whales
manage to contact the dolphin on numerous occasions--in spite of which the
dolphin returns to the fray apparently uninjured. Finally the dolphin
appears to lose interest and the pod of Killer Whales peacefully departs
the scene.
